Frequently asked questions.

  • Our services are fee-for-service, meaning payment is due at the time of your child’s appointment. While we do not bill insurance directly, we’re happy to provide an itemized invoice (or “super bill”) upon request, which you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

  • We accept cash, major credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due in full at the time of service. Packages must be pre-purchased and are non-refundable.

  • Thanks to Direct Access laws in Missouri, you do not need a physician's referral to begin physical therapy services. This means you can schedule an evaluation and start care with a licensed physical therapist—like us—without any delay.

Direct Access allows us to assess, treat, and support your child’s development right away, helping you get the guidance and support you need when you need it most. If at any point further medical consultation is necessary, we’ll help coordinate with your child’s healthcare team.

  • Every child develops at their own pace, but if you’ve noticed delays in movement milestones—such as rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, or walking—or if your child seems to move differently than other children their age, physical therapy may be helpful. PT can also support concerns like a strong preference to turn their head one direction, or a flat spot developing on one side of the head, which are more common than many parents realize.

Pediatric physical therapy focuses on building strength, flexibility, and coordination in a way that’s playful, engaging, and centered around your child’s needs. If you’re unsure whether therapy is needed, we’re happy to provide a consultation or evaluation to help guide you. Early support can make a big difference—and we’re here to help you and your child every step of the way.

  • One-on-one treatment sessions typically range from 30 to 60 minutes. Session length is recommended and tailored to your child’s tolerance, your family’s goals, and clinic availability—ensuring that each visit is both effective and supportive of your child’s unique needs.

  • We understand that life with little ones can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the time slot to another family in need. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

  • The health and safety of all families is our top priority. If your child is feeling unwell—showing symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, or any other signs of a contagious illness—we kindly ask that you reschedule your session. To help prevent the spread of illness, children must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication before returning to therapy.

If your child becomes sick within 24 hours of your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. We’re happy to work with you to find a new time once your little one is feeling better. Thank you for helping us keep our space safe and healthy for everyone!
